Our baby's first picture!

Ben and I saw the baby today for the first time! Of course, the baby is just tiny (the size of a large raspberry), but it is still so exciting and a miracle!! Some amazing facts about our baby right now are:

-Our baby is over 10,000 times bigger than at conception
- Our baby's brain cells are being generated at a rate of 100 cells per minute
-Our baby's lips, nose, eyelids, legs, and back are taking shape
-Our baby's heart is beating at about 150 times per minute

I'm feeling pretty good. I've been able to keep the nausea under control if I eat really healthy every 1 1/2 hours. When I do that I feel great! I am more tired than usual (and take naps when I can), but all in all things are good (knock on wood)!

Venetian What??

Meet Astarte (Cheryl) and Addagio (Ben).

Astarte is symbolic of love and fertility (you will notice the Venus star and red, glittered leaves on the mask).

Addagio is poetic, musical, and upbeat.

I made these masks for Ben and I for Halloween.

With Ben's I took 4 sheets of aluminum foil and fit it to his face, then did paper mache on top of that. I used acrylic paint for the white, black, red and gold design and put the gold ribbon on with hot glue. With my mask, I drew the design, painted it with acrylic, and then added the gold leaf / feather things with red glitter leaves. I topped it off with the gold ribbon all the way around the mask and on the brow.

Just a few weeks ago, we decided to go to Hobble Creek Canyon to check out the fall colors. It was beautiful! The sun was in the perfect spot to catch some great pictures too!

Ben said this is my "News Anchorwoman Pose."

I love Ben's smile... that's the very first thing I noticed about him!
